Employment
Job readiness training, career coaching, résumé and interview preparation, and placement through Second Chance Staffing.
One service is rarely enough.
A job without housing does not hold. Housing without recovery support does not hold. We address the whole picture at once, in one place, with one team.
Someone leaving incarceration is often handed a list: one number for housing, another for treatment, another for employment, each with its own intake, its own waitlist and its own paperwork. Every handoff is a place to lose someone.
The need that shows up first is rarely the need that decides the outcome. A job falls apart because there is nowhere stable to sleep. Housing falls apart because recovery went unsupported. Progress in one area collapses when the others go unaddressed.
We were built to close those gaps rather than add another one.
Participants do not have to qualify for one thing at a time. These move in parallel, coordinated by the same team.
Job readiness training, career coaching, résumé and interview preparation, and placement through Second Chance Staffing.
Help securing safe, stable housing, plus the practical resources that keep a person housed once they are in the door.
Connection to mental health care and follow-through afterward, so wellness is handled alongside everything else rather than after a crisis.
Peer-led support groups where people in recovery connect, share honestly and build resilience with others who have been there.
Financial literacy, communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, time management and healthy decision-making.
Belonging is protective. We work to root people in relationships and community rather than leaving them independent but isolated.
Employment, housing and support services are coordinated internally. Your client explains their situation once.
There is no online intake to disappear into. Participants meet a person at our High Street office and know who to come back to.
Our peer-led groups are led by people who have been through recovery and reentry themselves, which changes what participants are willing to say out loud.
A placement is a milestone, not an exit. We stay engaged through the first months, when most arrangements are at their most fragile.
Second Chance Staffing includes retention support on the employer side, so a hiring manager is not left managing a difficult stretch alone.
We are a local organization with one office and posted hours. Calls reach a person who knows the participants by name.
For case managers, probation officers, discharge planners and community partners.
If we are not the right resource for your client, we will say so on the call rather than starting a process that goes nowhere.
You will be talking to someone who can actually speak to capacity and timing, during posted business hours.
We would rather coordinate directly with you than hand your client a phone number and hope it gets used.
With the participant's permission, we keep the referring partner informed about progress instead of going silent after intake.
Second Chance Staffing connects you with pre-screened, motivated candidates, and it does not end at the offer letter. Hiring incentives and retention support come with the placement.
When something comes up in the first few months, you have someone to call who already knows the person and can help work it out.
